Being a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) often means juggling endless tasks and moments where you question if you’re really where you should be. There was one particular day when I had a brief moment of clarity—sipping my coffee, I looked around and thought, “I had no business being here.” It wasn’t about guilt, but rather the overwhelming feeling that life had momentarily outpaced me. This phrase, “made me little life,” which I saw recently, really resonated with me. It’s a reminder that life’s small, unexpected moments can humble us or even make us pause. For me, coffee has been a small but vital ritual that offers a brief retreat into myself before diving back into the chaos of motherhood. Whether it’s a spilled cup or a missed nap time, these moments are a normal part of SAHM life. I’ve come to appreciate that feeling “out of place” sometimes is just a sign to slow down and realign my priorities. It helps me find humor even when things get hectic. Sharing these honest reflections with other moms in forums and social communities has been incredibly supportive. It reminds me we’re not alone in these little life moments—and sometimes, that’s all the encouragement we need to keep going. So if you ever feel like you have no business being where you are, just remember it’s part of the unpredictable, beautiful journey of motherhood and everyday life.
