Preparing for College - Device Refresh✨
It’s almost time for classes to start, so to start the semester with a good mindset I decided to do a device reset! :)
I’ve reset my laptop and iPad’s backgrounds, adding my schedule and reorganizing both devices!
I’ve also started making my class schedule, which will also include my study schedule and reviewing schedule once I get my syllabuses!

Preparing for college involves more than just packing your bags; it's equally important to prepare your digital workspace. A device refresh—resetting backgrounds, organizing apps, and customizing your schedule—can significantly enhance your focus and productivity throughout the semester. Updating your laptop background with your class schedule serves as an easy daily reminder of your commitments, helping you manage your time efficiently. In addition, using apps like GoodNotes on your iPad to create digital notebooks allows for streamlined note-taking and easy access to class materials. Incorporating both study and review schedules immediately after receiving your syllabuses ensures that you allocate sufficient time for learning and revision, reducing last-minute cramming. Tailoring your schedule with detailed lecture times, recitations, and labs—like those seen in the course schedule example (BIOG275 lecture 9:00-10:15)—helps you visualize your week clearly and plan your study blocks accordingly. Moreover, regularly reorganizing your devices prevents clutter, encouraging a focused mindset. Applying productivity hashtags such as #collegeproductivity and #BackToSchool can connect you to communities for motivation and shared strategies. To optimize your college experience, consider setting digital reminders for assignments and exams, and explore apps that sync across your devices for seamless access. Overall, a thoughtful device refresh combined with strategic scheduling lays a strong foundation for academic success and stress-free semester progression.

I love the fall background on your computer. Also, putting your schedule on your desktop background is ingenious.
