Matthew 16

If anyone wants to follow Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.” – Matthew 16:24

This verse has been sitting heavy on my heart. It’s not just a call to believe—but a call to live fully surrendered, to let go of comfort, and to walk boldly in purpose.

In a world that says “do what feels good,” Jesus says, “follow Me.”

Today I’m asking myself: Am I really carrying my cross?

Let this be a reminder to choose obedience over ease, and faith over fear—every single day.

He also warns against the worldly values that distract believers from their eternal calling. The message culminates in the crucial lesson that those who cling to earthly ideals risk losing their eternal lives.
