Our PAWSITIVE READERS program allows children of all ages to come to the shelter to read to our animals. These interactions benefit both the animal, which helps to de-stress, and the child who loves to read! There is no need to sign up.

Books and Chairs will be provided. A guardian must be present. After 10 weeks of reading, participants will receive a weekly prize and a certificate!

*Program ended December 31st, 2025, but I don't think anyone would stop you from reading to the animals if you really wanted to.
