Sometimes it's just convenient to have something handheld 😂
I didn't measure anything for the sauce, just eyeballed it, start with melting butter then add garlic, shallot and cook until fragrent. Whisk in cream, bring to a simmer, add fresh grated parm, stir while it melts, add parsley, thyme, s&p to taste, simmer to thicken, then strain all the chunks out.
Since my girl doesn't eat meat I made her some crispy tofu and pasta 😆
After you feed the hungry girlfriend, crisp up some bacon bits then crisp up a couple pieces of chicken skin in the bacon fat, in the same pan cook chicken seasoned w/ SPPOG. Once the chicken is cooked through add the alfredo sauce, bacon bits, and give it a stir.
Rub a muffin pan w/ olive oil, line w/ pizza dough, then fill and bake @ 420° until the tops start to brown.
Drizzle w/ more sauce, to w/ crispy chicken skin, & enjoy! 😁
... Read moreMaking Chicken Alfredo Cups offers a fantastic way to enjoy a classic creamy pasta dish in a portable, handheld form. I love how this recipe starts with a rich Alfredo sauce made by melting butter and gently cooking garlic and shallots until fragrant, which infuses the sauce with depth. Whisking in cream and freshly grated Parmesan cheese creates that smooth, cheesy base everyone desires. Adding parsley and thyme brings a nice herby brightness that lifts the dish.
One tip I’ve picked up is the importance of simmering the sauce until it thickens just right, then straining it to ensure a silky texture free from lumps. This step truly elevates the sauce quality. Crisping bacon bits and chicken skin separately allows you to build layers of texture and flavor, as the chicken skin absorbs the smoky bacon fat before adding the seasoned chicken. The seasoning blend SPPOG (Salt, Pepper, Paprika, Oregano, Garlic) is simple but effective for seasoning the chicken perfectly.
Using pizza dough as a cup liner is a clever technique because it crisps beautifully in the oven at 420°F, holding all the creamy filling without getting soggy. The final drizzle of extra Alfredo sauce and topping with crispy chicken skin creates an irresistible finish.
For those who prefer vegetarian options, replacing the chicken with crispy tofu offers a satisfying alternative without compromising the dish’s heartiness. I’ve tried making a batch for family gatherings, and these cups disappear quickly—the handheld size makes them perfect for parties or casual meals.
Overall, Chicken Alfredo Cups are a surprisingly easy yet gourmet twist on traditional pasta: they combine the rich comfort of Alfredo sauce with the convenience of finger food. Experimenting with fresh herbs and protein variations can make this recipe your own go-to for delicious, convenient meals.
