RECIPE 📝 ↴︎︎

What You’ll Need:

- 3 eggs

- 2 c all-purpose flour

- 1 1/3 c reduced sugar craisins

- 1 1/2 c sugar

- 1 c canola oil

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 tsp baking powder

——————————————————

What To Do:

1. In a large bowl, mix together all dry ingredients until well-combined. Do not add the craisins yet.

2. Into the same bowl, mix in the wet ingredients until well-combined.

3. Fold in the craisins into dough until well-combined.

4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In the meantime, form dough balls & place them on oil-sprayed baking pans/trays (pls use bigger pans/trays than I did so your cookies don’t morph into Pangea like mine did 🫠).

5. Bake cookies for ~15 mins (until golden). Let cookies cool for ~5 mins before enjoying :) Can store them in an airtight container for up to ~1 wk.

... Read moreChristmas is a time for delicious treats, and these Craisin cookies are sure to be a hit at any gathering. Craisin, a brand of sweetened dried cranberries, is an excellent addition, providing a burst of sweetness and vibrant color to the cookies. Perfectly soft and chewy, these cookies can be made with simple pantry staples, making them accessible for bakers of all levels. When baking, it’s important to consider the balance of ingredients. The reduced-sugar craisins in this recipe help keep sweetness in check while still delivering that fruity flavor. Canola oil adds moisture and tenderness to the cookies, while eggs serve as a binding agent, essential for achieving the right texture. Preheating your oven to the correct temperature is vital; a consistent 350°F ensures that your cookies bake evenly, becoming golden without burning. Remember that the baking time can vary slightly based on your oven’s calibration, so keep an eye on them as they bake. For added holiday cheer, consider decorating the cookies with icing or sprinkling them with festive sugar before serving. These Christmas Craisin cookies not only taste great but also add a colorful touch to your holiday cookie platter. Store extras in an airtight container for a tasty treat throughout the festive season!
