Well, I'm here to spill my favorite cleaning hacks that helped me get my home looking fresh and tidy, especially during spring cleaning! Start with Decluttering – The Real Game Changer Before you even think about scrubbing, the biggest game-changer for me was decluttering. My living room sectional sofa was literally covered in clothes, and the wooden coffee table had so much stuff on it! I grabbed a laundry basket and a trash bag and just went through each room, putting things away or tossing what I didn't need. It makes cleaning so much faster when surfaces are clear. Don't forget those nooks and crannies, like around the fireplace mantel or under the plant. Kitchen Deep Dive: From Dirty Dishes to Sparkling Countertops The kitchen is always a big one, right? My sink was full of dirty dishes, and the speckled countertop was a disaster zone. First, I tackle the dishes – load the dishwasher or handwash everything. Then, I spray down the countertops and give those green cabinets a quick wipe. Don't forget the appliances! My microwave always needs a good scrub, and those cast iron pans on the stove can be tough. For the wooden coffee table, a gentle wood cleaner brings back its shine. Seeing the American flag hanging proudly above a clean sofa is so satisfying. The dining area also gets a good once-over. The wooden table and chairs can get sticky, so a good wipe-down is essential. My hutch cabinet often collects dust inside and out, so I make sure to clear it and give it a thorough clean. Even the vase of yellow flowers or a donut box looks better on a sparkling clean table! Entryway and the Golden Rule: Floors Last! And for the entryway, which often gets forgotten, I made sure to sweep away any debris around where the box of paper towels was sitting.
