How to get super smooth buttery skin! 🧈
Who doesn’t want soft and smooth legs? Here are my favorite products and tips/tricks to get dolphin smooth legs every time 🐬
✨ Step 1: Before showering, dry brush!
This only takes 1-2 minutes. I usually do it while I wait for the shower water to warm up. Dry brushing exfoliates your skin and improves skin texture. Since your skin will be smoother, this also helps when you go in with your razer later on since there are no bumps for the razer to catch on to. The one I have is from Amazon. Honestly, any one will do!
✨ Step 2: Wash your body with the Cleanlogic exfoliating scrubber!
Use whichever body wash you enjoy, but lather the body wash onto an exfoliating scrubber. I’ve used standard loofahs in the past but this scrubber is 10x better! It’s the charcoal scrubber from Cleanlogic. It’s easy to hold, small, and exfoliates your skin so well! Better than some body scrubs I’ve used. It’s only $6 at Walmart!
✨ Step 3: Shave with L’occitane shower oil!
OMG if you haven’t tried the L’occitane shower oil yet, please do. It has the most incredible lather and feels so luxurious. I use this oil in place of a shaving cream because it’s much more hydrating and the razer just slips and slides against your skin so nicely. The shower oil is $29 at Sephora!
✨ Step 4: Moisturize after the shower!
Always moisturize your skin especially after shaving! My current favorite lotion is the Rare Beauty Find Comfort body lotion. It’s $28 at Sephora! It isn’t sticky or too heavy. My skin drinks this up!! It’s a warm woody scent that reminds me of a spa. It has niacinamide in in which supports your skin’s moisture barrier!
✨ Bonus step! Body glow
If you want your skin to look glowing and alive, use a body glow! I only use one when I go out to dinner or something. I love the Live Tinted Hue Glow Drops in the color dawn. They’re $38 at Ulta! It’s a pretty rose gold shade that reflects nicely on my skin. I don’t like a super intense glow, so I mix a tiny drop of it with my lotion and lather it on. It’s the perfect amount of shine without being distracting.

Hey everyone! So glad you're interested in achieving that dreamy, buttery-smooth skin, especially on your legs. I know the struggle – rough patches, ingrown hairs, and those annoying razor bumps can really get in the way of feeling confident. But trust me, with a few extra steps and the right products, you can transform your skin. My routine, which includes amazing finds like the Cleanlogic charcoal scrubber, L'occitane shower oil, and Rare Beauty Find Comfort body lotion, has truly been a game-changer for me! Let's talk more about dry brushing, because it’s a non-negotiable step in my journey to dolphin-smooth legs. Many of you ask about 'dry brushing before shower' and 'body brushing before shower,' and for good reason! It’s not just about exfoliating; it's a mini spa treatment that offers so many benefits. Beyond sloughing off dead skin cells, dry brushing invigorates your lymphatic system, which helps your body detoxify naturally. It also boosts circulation, leaving your skin looking more vibrant and firm. When I started, I noticed my skin felt softer immediately, and over time, its texture dramatically improved. The key is to always brush in upward strokes towards your heart, using gentle but firm pressure. You don't need an expensive brush; any natural bristle brush will do the trick! I usually do it for 1-2 minutes right before I hop into the shower, while the water is warming up. Now, for the main event: shaving! Getting a close shave without irritation or 'razor bumps' is an art, but totally achievable. After a good dry brush and exfoliating wash with my Cleanlogic scrubber, my skin is prepped. The L'occitane shower oil is fantastic for creating a slick, hydrating barrier, letting the razor glide effortlessly. But here are a few more tips I swear by: always use a fresh, sharp razor blade – dull blades are the number one cause of nicks and irritation. Shave with the grain first, especially if you have sensitive skin, then you can go against the grain for an extra close shave if your skin can handle it. After rinsing, a quick splash of cold water helps to close up your pores. And what about that dreaded 'after shower skin rubs off' feeling? This usually points to dryness or a buildup of dead skin. My secret weapon here is consistent, immediate moisturizing. You know I love the Rare Beauty Find Comfort body lotion for its nourishing niacinamide, which supports your skin's moisture barrier. But the when is just as important as the *what*. Apply your lotion within minutes of stepping out of the shower, while your skin is still slightly damp. This locks in that precious moisture. If your skin is still flaking or dry, consider adding a body oil before your lotion, or opting for a thicker body butter once a week. Remember, well-hydrated skin is less prone to flaking and looks naturally radiant. Finally, for that extra 'body glow' I mentioned, products like the Live Tinted Hue Glow Drops are perfect for special occasions. But everyday glowing skin comes from consistency: stay hydrated, eat well, and protect your skin from the sun. Think of this routine as an investment in yourself. It might seem like a lot at first, but once you make these steps a habit, you'll be amazed at how easily you can maintain that soft, smooth, and glowing skin all year round!
