Underrated makeup: korean eyeshadow!

Korean skincare is super popular but no one talks about korean makeup very much! I feel like korean lippies and complexion products are talked about most in terms of makeup.. But i never see any hype on the eyeshadows and omg they’re amazing and affordable!

This Clio Eyeshadow palette (Rose Connect) is $20-$23 on YesStyle and the quality is amazing. There’s so pigmented and there’s something about the formula that’s perfect for oily eyelids (i unfortunately have these lol)

Seriously give asian eyeshadows a try!!

... Read moreAs someone who has struggled with makeup longevity due to oily eyelids, discovering Korean eyeshadows has been a total game changer for me. The Clio Eyeshadow palette, especially the Rose Connect shade, delivers vibrant color pay-off that doesn’t crease or fade throughout the day, which is a relief compared to many Western brands I’ve tried. The formula is buttery-soft and blends beautifully, making it easy to create both everyday and bold looks. What fascinates me about Korean eyeshadows is that they often combine innovative textures with skin-friendly ingredients suited for sensitive and oily skin types. For instance, the Clio palette’s balanced formula keeps eyelids from getting greasy or shiny, which many eyeshadows struggle with. Plus, the range of shades from pinks to browns and more makes them incredibly versatile. Additionally, purchasing from YesStyle is convenient, and the price point of around $20 to $23 makes these palettes accessible without compromising quality. Beyond Clio, many Korean beauty brands offer excellent eyeshadow palettes that don’t get enough attention internationally but deserve recognition for performance and affordability. Trying out Korean eyeshadows also introduced me to a whole new realm of K-beauty innovation. Their approach isn’t just about looks but also the experience, from silky textures to long wear properties, that cater to diverse skin types and preferences. If you’ve been hesitant to explore Korean makeup beyond skincare or lip products, eyeshadows are a fantastic place to start, especially if you’re dealing with concerns like oily eyelids. You might just find your new favorite palette that combines trend-forward colors with genuine practicality.

I feel like a lot of people don’t talk about them because there not as bright as “American” eyeshadow palettes are and might seem less pigmented. But I do agree that brands like Clio and Rom&nd have really good eyeshadow palettes and if you like something more neutral and soft I would recommend Korean palettes.
