Regular zero build squad win
Getting a Victory Royale in Fortnite Zero Build with your squad is one of the most satisfying feelings! I wanted to share some of my personal insights and strategies that have helped my team secure countless wins, especially when exploring a new map or dropping into a 'NEW LOCATION!' Zero Build mode completely changes the dynamic of Fortnite, relying purely on gun skill, movement, and tactical use of cover. Without the ability to construct defenses, every decision about positioning and engagement becomes critical. When playing in squads or duos, teamwork becomes even more crucial. My absolute number one tip is communication. Always be calling out enemy positions, shield breaks, and what you’re doing. A simple "pushing left," "healing behind rock," or "enemy low shield" can make all the difference in a fast-paced gunfight. Using the ping system effectively is also a game-changer for marking enemies, loot, or safe paths. When it comes to looting, we always try to balance our loadouts. One person might focus on long-range with a DMR or Sniper rifle, while another carries an SMG or a fast-firing assault rifle for close-quarters mayhem. Always ensure your squad has a good mix of weapon ranges. Don't forget those essential healing items – carrying a mix of med-kits, mini-shields, and slurp juice is vital. Also, always share! If someone is low on ammo or health and you have extra, drop it for them. A strong, well-equipped team is a winning team. Utility items like Shockwave Grenades, Grapple Gloves, or even the new Kinetic Blade can be absolute game-changers for repositioning, escaping danger, or initiating aggressive pushes. Rotation is another massive part of Zero Build strategy. You can't build your way out of sticky situations, so paying attention to the storm circle and planning your movement early is key. We try to stick to the edges of the zone, using natural cover like hills, trees, and buildings. Avoid running across open fields unless you have a good movement item or a vehicle to get you across quickly. These mobility tools are literal lifesavers and often create opportunities for a surprise flank or a quick escape from a bad fight. Mastering rotations, especially when a 'NEW LOCATION!' is revealed for the next zone, can drastically improve your odds and keep you out of trouble with other teams or the storm. In fights, focus fire is paramount. Try to all shoot the same target to quickly eliminate one enemy, evening the odds. If a teammate goes down, prioritize getting them revived if it's safe. Sometimes, it's better to secure a knock or even a full elimination before attempting a revive, to prevent both of you from getting wiped. Always be aware of your surroundings, and don't tunnel vision on one enemy. An enemy third-party can quickly turn the tide against you. My personal winning philosophy for Zero Build squads is to play smart, not just aggressive. Sometimes, avoiding a fight is the best strategy if you're out-positioned or outnumbered. Wait for the right moment, catch enemies off guard, and always keep an eye on the high ground. When it comes down to the final few teams, staying calm and coordinating your pushes or defensive holds is what separates a good team from one that gets that glorious 'VICTORY ROYALE.' Try these tips out in your next Zero Build squad or duo match and let me know how it goes in the comments!
