Winter weather is notoriously tough for baby skin, so investing in a rich, hydrating cream, as mentioned, really makes a difference. I found that applying a thick moisturizer after bath time prevents dry, uncomfortable skin for both baby and adults. Bedtime routines between 7 and 8 p.m and early wake-ups around 5 to 6 a.m are typical for many toddlers. The early waking can be exhausting for parents, especially if you’re not a morning person—trust me, I’ve been there! Offering milk to help soothe the baby back to sleep can sometimes work, but as toddlers grow, they often want to start their day early and engage with their surroundings, which can disrupt parental sleep. Overall, this stage brings many treasured memories alongside sleep and weather challenges. Sharing these experiences helps new parents feel less isolated and more prepared to embrace the ups and downs of caring for a vibrant and growing one-year-old baby.
