Donut underestimate this Minecraft build 😳
Haha I’m trying something new for content reasons trying to get more consistent this is a game mode on a server called build battle like if you wanna see more
Hey everyone, it's me again! Following up on my recent Minecraft Build Battle adventure where I tackled a giant donut build. You guys seemed to enjoy the chaos, so I wanted to share a bit more about the experience and some practical tips if you ever decide to take on a "donut build battle" yourself! When the theme popped up, I immediately thought, "Why not a donut?" It felt like a fun, recognizable object that could really stand out. Plus, it's a great "challenge" to get those circular shapes right in Minecraft. For anyone thinking of trying a round or curved build in Build Battle, here’s what I learned, which might help you boost your own "skills." First off, solid planning, even just a quick mental sketch, is crucial. Getting the basic "donut" shape is paramount. I spent a good chunk of my limited time just getting the outer and inner rings to look somewhat circular. Tools like pixel art circle generators can be a lifesaver for getting precise curves in a blocky world, even if you just use them as a guide. Remember, it's about translating that perfect circle into blocks effectively within the time limit. For the main body, I went for a classic brown, but then came the truly creative fun part: toppings! This is where you can really let your imagination run wild and make your "creation" unique. Are you going for a classic glazed, chocolate, or something wild with rainbow sprinkles? I tried to add a 'fat end' to mine, like a cartoon donut, which was a bit tricky but definitely added to its quirky character. Don't be afraid to experiment with different block types for textures – wool, terracotta, concrete, even some food blocks if you're daring! The key is to have a cohesive "block palette" that makes your donut look delicious and appealing. The OCR even picked up on some of the funnier aspects of my build, like the comment "THIS DONUT'S GOT A FAT END FAT ASS DUDE," which just goes to show how much personality a simple build can have and how people react! One of the biggest hurdles in any "Minecraft Build Battle" is the strict time limit. You’ve got to be fast, efficient, and decisive. I tried to prioritize the main shape and then quickly add the details, keeping the overall vision in mind. It's a delicate balance between making it instantly recognizable as a donut and adding enough flair to truly impress the judges. Thinking about scale is important too; you don't want it too small that it lacks sufficient detail, but not so huge that you can't finish it or it looks disproportionate. My "donut build" wasn't the biggest, but it was detailed enough to get noticed. When it came to voting, I was so nervous! It’s really interesting to see what other players come up with for the same theme. My "donut build" ended up getting me 23 "stars" and landing me in 3rd place! Not bad at all for a first attempt at something so specific and quirky. It definitely shows that being creative and having a clear vision can really pay off in these competitions. Even if you don't win, the experience of building under pressure and seeing other amazing "creations" is super rewarding, and you always learn something new. My top tip for future build battles? Don't be afraid to try something unexpected or a bit silly. While everyone might build houses or castles, sometimes a simple, well-executed everyday object like a "doughnut" can grab more attention and earn you those precious "stars." And remember, at the end of the day, it's all about having fun, showcasing your building "skills," and enjoying the creative process! What crazy builds have you tried in Build Battle, or what themes do you find most challenging? Let me know in the comments!
