I fixed Minecraft’s stone cutter because it annoyed me ( Estora server)
Apparently stonecutters only cutting stone annoyed me enough to do something about it.
So in Estora, you can use the stonecutter to cut WOOD too. Planks, stairs, slabs, all the fun stuff because honestly, it just makes sense to me.
Estora is my cross platform Minecraft survival server built around giving players more to do, discover, and inevitably get distracted by. We’ve got quests, NPCs, an economy, player shops, leaderboards, expanded world height, backpacks, cosmetics, custom features like this one, and a whole lot of nonsense the community has created along the way.
And yep … Java AND Bedrock players can play together.

Come make yourself at home. Maybe I’ll get annoyed by something else and add another feature.
One of the things I love most about Minecraft is its endless potential for customization and creativity—sometimes the default mechanics just don’t cut it for me. The stonecutter, for example, traditionally only processes stone, which felt limiting. I wanted a more intuitive experience where I could craft wooden planks, stairs, and slabs directly on the stonecutter, just like with stone. This small change in the Estora server has really improved how I build structures and decorate. Playing on Estora doesn’t just stop at this stonecutter tweak. It’s a vibrant community where Java and Bedrock edition players converge seamlessly, which I’ve found to be a breath of fresh air compared to playing on isolated platforms. The server offers quests that keep gameplay engaging beyond the usual build-and-survive approach. The economy and player shops add a real sense of community interaction and competition, while leaderboards motivate you to step up your game. I also appreciate features like backpacks and cosmetics, which personalize the gameplay, and the expanded world height feels like a game-changer when designing intricate bases. The active mods and custom features created by the Estora community are evident everywhere, making each session unique and packed with surprises. This continuous evolution is exactly why I keep returning—and why I’m open to fixing or adding new features whenever something feels off. For anyone frustrated by Minecraft’s default limitations, joining a server like Estora can transform how you experience the game. It shows how a few tweaks, like allowing the stonecutter to work with wood, can make the whole crafting and building process smoother and more immersive. If you’re looking for a survival server where creativity meets community, Estora is definitely worth checking out!
