First yr doing tapestry vs this year!!
I’m so proud of my progress tbh, I started tapestry when I first started crocheting 2 yrs ago, took a break, and came back strong this year lol. I have to finish this blanket now 😂
Starting tapestry crochet can feel overwhelming at first, especially when juggling colors and complex patterns. When I began two years ago, I struggled a lot with tension and keeping the stitches consistent, which made the first project challenging and sometimes frustrating. Taking a break allowed me to gain perspective and renewed motivation. Returning to tapestry crochet this year, I found that my skills had improved significantly, thanks to practice and learning from experience. I focused more on mastering techniques like carrying yarn and improving stitch tension to make the blanket smoother and the design clearer. This made crocheting a much more enjoyable process. One tip I’d share with fellow crochet enthusiasts is to choose projects that excite you and break them into small, manageable sections. Celebrating these incremental accomplishments helps maintain motivation. Also, joining crochet communities online, like the ones tagged #crochet or #crochettapestry, provided endless inspiration and helpful advice. Finishing a large tapestry blanket is rewarding but requires patience and commitment. I’m proud to be back on track to complete my current blanket, and I encourage others not to get discouraged by setbacks — progress over perfection is the key! Ultimately, tapestry crochet is a creative journey full of learning and personal growth that anyone willing to persevere can enjoy.
