She swear she raised me dawg 😭🤦🏾 #yeahitskeith #siblings #sisters #relatable #fypシ゚viral
Hey Lemon8 fam! So, I just had to get this off my chest about my older sister, who I've decided to affectionately call Miss Wendy for this rant. She literally swears she raised me, dawg, and I'm just here like, "Excuse me?!" We're talking about a "sibling that's older than you by one year" here! How much parenting can you actually do when you're barely out of diapers yourself? She'll bring up changing my diapers like it was a full-time job. I swear I was potty trained at the same time she was, practically! It’s the classic "most annoying sibling" move, isn't it? That older sister who thinks just because they hit a milestone a year before you, they were your personal life coach. Nah, sis. That ain't how it works. What I do remember, though, is her "catering to me," big time. She'd get her car and drive to some girl's house for practice, but then she'd swing by school with McDonald's for lunch. Like, "Hey, when they got McDonald's from school, I'd be like..." So yeah, she was bringing me food, which was awesome, but that's a caterer, not a parent! She'd cook for me as we got older, sure, but that's just... being a good sister, not raising me from infancy. Honestly, it's a common sibling dynamic, especially when you're super close in age. The older one feels this sense of responsibility, and the younger one is just living their best life, soaking up the benefits. I think it comes from that protective instinct, but sometimes it gets twisted into this idea that they were your actual guardian. It's funny, because while she was certainly there, she wasn't exactly teaching me life lessons while I was in my crib. We were going through the phases of life practically hand-in-hand. But don't get me wrong, despite the hilarious "who raised who" debate, she's still my sister. If I ever needed any "girl talk" or support, I'd get my sister in a heartbeat. She's been there for me through thick and thin, just not in the capacity of a primary caregiver. It's more like she was my first best friend, my first rival, and my first personal chauffeur to McDonald's. So, to all the older siblings out there who claim they raised your younger siblings: we appreciate the effort, but let's be real, Mom and Dad deserve the credit! And to all my fellow younger siblings: know your worth, and don't let them gaslight you into thinking they changed your diapers unless you have photographic proof! What about you all? Do you have a "Miss Wendy" in your life? That sibling who still holds onto the idea that they were your parent? Spill the tea in the comments! I'd love to hear your relatable stories about the "sibling that's older by one year" who thinks they ran the household. Let's commiserate and laugh together!
