Chemistry class checklist a pre-nursing student 🧪✅
Tackling my chemistry class checklist as a 29-year-old pre-nursing student 🧪✅. It’s not always easy—failed the quiz on my first attempt, but I didn’t let that stop me. I reviewed, put in the work, and came back to make a B. Progress over perfection, because C’s might get degrees, but they don’t get to anesthesia school!

Hey fellow aspiring nurses and science enthusiasts! As a 29-year-old pre-nursing student, I know the struggle is real when it comes to balancing life and those challenging chemistry courses. My mission is to get straight A's, especially with big goals like anesthesia school, but trust me, it's not always a smooth ride. I've been there, staring at a failed quiz, feeling like the periodic table was speaking a foreign language! But I’ve learned that a solid revision plan and a consistent CHEM CLASS CHECKLIST can make all the difference. For anyone stressing about an upcoming CHEM QUIZ or an organic chemistry exam, creating a detailed revision plan is your superpower. Here’s what’s worked for me, especially when it feels like your brain says periodic table but your heart just wants a break: My Go-To Chemistry Revision Plan: Don't Cram, Deconstruct: Instead of trying to absorb everything the night before, break down your organic chemistry topics into manageable chunks. Dedicate specific days to functional groups, reaction mechanisms, or stoichiometry. This makes the massive amount of content less intimidating. Active Recall is Key: Reading notes passively won't cut it. After reviewing a topic, close your book and try to recall everything you remember. Better yet, explain it out loud to an imaginary student (or a real one!). Practice, Practice, Practice: This is non-negotiable. Work through every CHEM HOMEWORK problem, end-of-chapter questions, and any practice quizzes your professor provides. For me, attempting the CHEM QUIZ multiple times, even after failing initially, was crucial for understanding where I went wrong. Don't be afraid to redo problems you've already done – repetition builds mastery. Master the CHEM PRE-LAB: Don't underestimate the pre-lab. These often contain fundamental concepts that will be tested in different ways on your exams. Understanding the 'why' behind the lab procedures helps solidify theoretical knowledge. Utilize Your Resources: Go to office hours! Seriously, your professors are there to help. Watch supplementary videos, join study groups, or find a dedicated study spot like the LIBRARY where you can truly 'lock TF in'. I often found that a change of scenery helped me focus better. Flashcards for Formulas & Reactions: For organic chemistry, there are so many reactions and mechanisms to memorize. Flashcards are a lifesaver. Test yourself regularly, even for just 15 minutes a day. My Daily Chemistry Checklist (Beyond Exam Prep): Review Lecture Notes: After every lecture, I immediately go through my notes. If something's unclear, I highlight it to ask later or look up online. Complete CHEM PRE-LAB: I make sure to understand and complete the pre-lab questions before the lab session. This makes the lab itself more meaningful and less about just following instructions. Tackle CHEM HOMEWORK Early: I try to finish homework assignments as soon as they're given, so the material is fresh in my mind. This also gives me time to ask questions if I get stuck. Regular Self-Quizzing: Even if there's no official CHEM QUIZ due, I create my own mini-quizzes from textbook questions or old notes. This keeps me sharp. Remember, your goal, whether it's getting into anesthesia school or just passing this tough class, is achievable with dedication. It’s about progress, not perfection. That B I earned after failing a quiz felt like a huge win because it showed me that perseverance pays off. Keep pushing, fellow pre-nursing students! You've got this.
