One then it just hits…
Here’s the thing
3 years ago I decided to declutter my life and work on regulating my nervous system.
I realized I was living way too fast and I BURNED OUT 😭
I couldn’t keep up anymore. It was chaotic.
Then, one day it just hit me after watching a video (like this one) TOO MUCH STUFF IS OVERSTIMULATING.
I had always been “minimal” with my personal stuff, but there was A LOT for the kids, and tons of stuff from my husband (mostly military stuff).
So, I started decluttering kitchen, kids stuff, organizing etc.
I quickly realized I couldn’t just get rid of stuff. I needed to be INTENTIONAL about it.
We then knew I may had to leave my job when I got pregnant with my 3rd because of daycare costs (crazy to think) so we got even MORE intentional.
We got the mindset of “we will downsize our life, in order to upgrade later”
As we decluttered, we noticed we were saving more money, and spending it even more intentionally 🙌🏻
It does suck at times. But we’re in a season where we buy only what truly need
We’re focused on paying off debt
& most importantly, creating a peaceful home ESPECIALLY during the busy early years of parenthood.
I don’t want to be constantly feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, and burnt out, so I know this is my own way of self care
Would we want the dream aesthetically pleasing home? ABSOLUTELY, but we know it takes time ❤️
