... Read moreIn today's society, the allure of big houses often clouds our judgment about what truly matters. Many individuals believe that owning a large home is a prerequisite for happiness and success. However, this often leads to unnecessary stress and the pressure to maintain a lifestyle that doesn’t resonate with their values. Instead, adopting a simpler mindset can bring clarity and peace. By prioritizing intentional living, you can focus on what genuinely enriches your life. Minimalism enables you to appreciate what you have rather than yearn for more. This can foster not only gratitude but also stronger connections with loved ones. Moreover, as someone with a background in banking, it’s essential to recognize that many households that appear affluent may not be as financially secure as they seem. The glamorous façade presented on social media can be misleading—paying for large homes often leads to financial strain rather than stability. Ultimately, understanding that we do not need to keep up with others reveals a path to genuine contentment. The journey of self-discovery and financial wisdom can lead to a more fulfilling life, where joy comes from experiences rather than possessions. Embrace the principles of decluttering your life and living intentionally to find true satisfaction in simplicity.

I feel this way. Even though I don’t have a huge house right now, I feel like if I didn’t have I would t be able to keep up with it. We are a family of five living in an apartment that is 800sq. The home we are getting built will be no bigger than 1600 sq ft. Anything bigger I may lose my mind. Maybe when they are teens I’ll reconsider but for right now, I rather stay small. We are not home most of the time anyways 🤷🏽‍♀️
