I’ll start by saying, I believe they’re both important and compliment each other. However, i think of goals as the destination, and intentions as the direction
We tend to feel a little empty once we accomplish our goal “what’s next” and if we don’t, we still feel empty and lost or discouraged because we didn’t accomplish
Intentions on the other hand, is rooted in who you are actively trying to become and gives you the fuel to keep going and the PURPOSE
Intentions brings up the questions like
1. What does my life look like right now and what do I need to change
2. Where can I improve ?
3. Who do I want to become?
So, my reminder is
Set your intentions first, then your goals but don’t forget to give yourself some grace!!
You don’t have to have them all figured out by today. We are allowed to pivot and make changes where we need to
Share a goal and intention you have for the year, and let’s cheer each other up in the comments!! 🔥🔥
Maybe someone else has the exact same intention as you

Many people are often confused between goals and intentions, yet understanding their differences is essential for personal growth. Goals are often seen as the endpoint, a destination we aim to reach, whereas intentions are more about the direction in which we're moving. When we set an intention, we're focusing on the process of becoming who we truly want to be, fostering a mindset of growth and resilience. It's worth noting that intentions provide us with motivation and clarity, reflecting our desires and values. By asking ourselves critical questions like: "What changes do I need to make in my life?" or "Who do I aspire to be?" we can craft intentions that resonate with our authentic selves. This reflective practice allows for adaptability; we can shift our intentions as our understanding and aspirations evolve. Ultimately, setting intentions can lead to a more fulfilling journey through life. Sharing our goals and intentions with others – friends, family, or communities – not only holds us accountable but creates a supportive environment where we can inspire and uplift each other. Embrace the journey of living intentionally as you cultivate a life that truly represents your values, aligning your daily actions with your long-term vision.
