Notion 🗓️
has helped me so much #notion #ftm #youngmom #sahm #momsoflemon8
Being a mom, especially a young SAHM with a clingy baby, can feel like a constant battle against chaos and feeling completely OVERWHELMED. I've been there! It often feels like you need to be ten places at once, managing baby schedules, household chores, and still trying to carve out some time for yourself or side projects. That's exactly where Notion came into my life and became my absolute lifesaver for staying organized. Before Notion, my brain was a jumbled mess of sticky notes, forgotten appointments, and mental to-do lists that just kept growing. The moment I started using it, I realized how powerful a tool it could be for busy moms like us. It’s not just a fancy digital notebook; it's a fully customizable workspace that adapts to your unique mom life. Here’s how I’ve set up my Notion workspace to conquer the mom overwhelm: 1. Daily & Weekly Command Center: My homepage in Notion is my go-to for everything. I have a simple daily checklist that includes baby tasks (feedings, naps, diaper changes), household chores, and personal to-dos. This helps me track what needs to get done without having to constantly remember. For instance, I have a recurring task for "laundry" or "meal planning," which removes the mental load. With a clingy baby, I can quickly update a task on my phone with one hand while holding them, which is a total win! 2. Seamless Event & Appointment Management: One of the biggest struggles for me was keeping track of all the "Our Upcoming Events" – doctor's appointments, playdates, family gatherings, and even virtual meetups. I created a simple calendar database in Notion where I log everything. I can add notes, links, and even attach documents like appointment reminders. This means I'm never scrambling last minute or double-booking. It’s a visual way to see my family's schedule at a glance, making planning so much less stressful. 3. Juggling Passions & "Collabs": As a SAHM, sometimes you want to pursue a hobby or even a side hustle. For me, that meant dabbling in some small "Collabs" and content creation. Notion is fantastic for this! I have a separate section where I track ideas, deadlines, contact information for brands, and even draft content. It keeps my creative projects separate from my daily mom tasks but still easily accessible within my main workspace. This has been instrumental in helping me feel productive and fulfilled beyond just mom duties, without feeling more OVERWHELMED. 4. All-in-One Family Hub: Beyond daily tasks and events, Notion houses all my important family information. Think meal plans (with recipe links!), grocery lists, wish lists for baby products, and even a log of baby's milestones. It's a central place for everything, reducing the need for multiple apps or physical notebooks. If my partner needs to know what's for dinner or what's on the shopping list, it's all there, easily shareable. This makes communication smoother and ensures we're both on the same page. If you're a mom feeling like you're constantly trying to keep your head above water, I genuinely encourage you to give Notion a try. It takes a little setup, but the peace of mind and sense of control it gives you are absolutely worth it. It’s helped me transform my chaotic mom life into one that feels much more manageable and, dare I say, organized! You don't have to be a tech wizard; just start small and build it out as you go. It really has helped me so much!
