This goes for men and women

Society has gotten away from what it means to be goal oriented in a relationship. We have started to chase which therefore brings about emptiness. Even King Solomon said never to chase women in Proverbs 31:4-6. We all know when you chase something the thing you’re chasing runs away. Pursuing is different. When you pursue, you have a goal in mind that you want to accomplish. Also chasing and pursuing are not the same thing. Both men and women need to pursue each other because if we don’t there is no reason for us to even be in relationships with each other. Both men and women want to feel wanted and needed in totally two different ways but nonetheless that desire is still there. When a man feels like the woman he is pursuing is not putting in the effort or showing she wants him then he will give up and move on. Women if a man is pursuing you, pursue him back. He wants to know that you want him. We leave the responsibility up to the man and it’s not fair or right.

... Read moreIn contemporary relationships, understanding the difference between chasing and pursuing is crucial for both men and women. Chasing often results in feelings of emptiness, whereas pursuing is about setting relationship goals and actively engaging with each other. Biblical teachings, like those from Proverbs, emphasize the importance of not just chasing after a partner but rather pursuing them with intention and respect. Pursuit in a romantic context signifies a commitment to knowing one another genuinely, which involves sincere interest, open communication, and the willingness to put in effort. For men, feeling appreciated by the woman they pursue can propel their desire for a deeper relationship, while women expressing interest reciprocally validates the man's efforts. Both genders need to recognize their roles, ensuring that pursuing is a mutual effort. The aim should be to nurture emotional connections that are built on respect and shared goals rather than allowing relationships to become a one-sided chase. By reframing how we view relationships, we can foster balance and fulfillment, creating partnerships that resonate with love, support, and mutual appreciation.
