5 Minute Mental Health Check-in🫶

Work days can be so busy and sometimes you can get caught up! Make sure to check in on yourself - here’s a quick way to do 👉🏼

1. Slow down

-Take a step back from your computer/phone/desk and regulate your breathing (5 seconds in, 5 seconds out).

2. Ask yourself, am I feeling OK?

-If you’re not, try to pin point what is causing changes in your mood and determine ways to remedy it. Something that could help - taking a walk outside over lunch break, reducing caffeine intake, reduce sugar intake, bring a high protein mid-day snack.

3. Ask yourself, what am I doing for my own happiness?

-Try to each day do something that brings you joy, even if it’s something small!

4. Finish your day strong

-Once you have taken a few minutes for yourself and regulated yourself, prepare for the rest of your day and finish strong!

Take five minutes to pause and practice mindful breathing; this can decrease stress and enhance focus. Additionally, regularly questioning your emotional state can help you identify stressors. Engage in activities that spark joy, whether it's a hobby, a walk, or a relaxing tea break. Nutrition also plays a role; consider reducing caffeine and sugar to manage energy levels throughout the day. By consciously taking these short self-checks, you can create positive patterns that foster resilience and happiness in your daily life.
