You know those mornings where you just don't feel like getting out of bed? Or maybe you're up, but your mind is already racing with worries about what people think, or the pressures you're facing? I've been there so many times, feeling like I need to shrink myself to fit into someone else's expectations. That's why this message about a "glorious rising" truly hit home for me and transformed my perspective. It's about so much more than just the sun coming up; it's about how we rise to meet the day with divine strength. Psalm 3:3, 'But You, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high,' is more than just words on a page. It's a lifeline. I remember this one particular time I was so overwhelmed with a challenging project at work, feeling completely inadequate and exposed to criticism. My self-doubt was at an all-time high. But then, I paused and intentionally remembered this verse. It felt like God was literally putting a shield around my anxieties, reminding me that I am protected, not by my own abilities, but by His grace. It's like He gently reached down and lifted my head, away from the critical voices (both internal and external) and towards His unwavering peace. This verse reminds me that my dignity doesn't come from my performance, but from being His beloved. And then there's Proverbs 29:25 – 'Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.' This one is HUGE. How many times have I tried to please everyone, only to feel completely drained and still not good enough? That desire for approval can really be a snare, trapping us in a cycle of anxiety, comparison, and sometimes even compromise. I've personally experienced the exhaustion of trying to contort myself to fit into different molds just to gain acceptance. But I’ve learned that true safety and freedom aren't found in what others think of me, but in trusting the Lord completely. It's incredibly liberating to realize that my worth isn't tied to external validation, but to being a cherished child of God. When I choose to trust, I feel a deep sense of safety, knowing He is my defender. So, what does this "glorious rising" look like in real life? For me, it starts with choosing my first thoughts each morning. Instead of immediately grabbing my phone and diving into emails or social media, I try to spend a few minutes reflecting on scripture, even just one verse, like these. It's about consciously telling myself: "You don't have to shrink under pressure." It’s about remembering that YAH is my shield, my dignity, my defender. It's about intentionally lifting my head, not in arrogance, but in confidence that my identity and worth come solely from Him. Practically, walking in truth means being authentic about my strengths and weaknesses, knowing His love covers it all. It means setting boundaries when I need to, and speaking my truth (always with kindness) even when it's uncomfortable. Standing in love means extending compassion to myself when I stumble, and to others who might be struggling, just as He does for us. It’s a daily decision to refuse to live for the approval of others and instead, to walk in truth and stand in love, letting His light shine through me. Every morning truly is a new chance for a "glorious rising." It's not about achieving perfection, but about making daily progress in trusting God more. It's about leaning into His promises, allowing Him to be your glory and your strength, especially when the world tries to weigh you down. When you truly trust Him, you find that His love and presence are truly more than enough to face anything. Have a GLORIOUS DAY IN YAH, my Beloved! SHALOM!
