Patients are generally recommended to consume high-protein, low-carbohydrate meals to facilitate healing and promote weight loss. Breakfast might include foods like eggs or cottage cheese paired with lean meats, providing essential proteins to start the day. For lunch, consider incorporating high-protein snacks such as tuna salads with added vitamins from vegetables like spinach or diced peppers. Shredded cheese adds flavor while still being respectful of your dietary needs. Dinner options can be exciting with a variety of protein sources including ground chicken, which can be prepared in a variety of healthy ways. Utilizing an air fryer is a great solution to keep meals delicious without excess oil. Filling wraps with nutrients from vegetables not only enhances texture but also boosts your daily vitamin intake, ensuring your meals contribute to overall wellbeing post-surgery. Remember to stay hydrated and consult with a healthcare provider to ensure all dietary decisions align with recovery goals.
