Stepping outside my comfort zone with intention!

My journey, my life, my beginning—and even my present—have not always been easy. Yet through it all, one thing remains certain: my God 👑 has always been faithful. As I step into a new year as a new business owner, and stand just one month away from completing my post-graduate journey as a mental health nurse practitioner, I am overwhelmed with gratitude that I did not give up.

I knew my children needed me, though there were days when the weight felt so heavy that I wondered if they would be better off without me—but God. And in Him, I found strength to keep going. #familynursepractitioner #pmhnploading #Godovereverything #Girlsmom

... Read moreStepping outside your comfort zone intentionally is a powerful act that often leads to growth and transformation. From my experience, balancing family responsibilities while pursuing advanced education and launching a new business can feel overwhelming, but relying on faith and inner strength can provide unwavering support. As someone who faced moments of doubt and heaviness, particularly wondering if my efforts were enough for my children, I found that embracing vulnerability and seeking resilience was key. Mental health nurse practitioners like myself often understand the importance of mental wellness firsthand, as personal challenges shape our approach to care and compassion. The journey to becoming an APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) requires rigorous study and dedication, but it's deeply rewarding to help others navigate their mental health struggles. For those considering this path, remember that every step—no matter how difficult—builds professional expertise and personal growth. Faith played a significant role in my perseverance. Whether you share similar beliefs or find strength elsewhere, having a source of hope and encouragement is vital. If you are stepping into a new chapter or a fresh career, setting clear intentions and embracing challenges as opportunities can transform daunting obstacles into milestones of success. Remember, you are not alone in feeling the weight of change. Connecting with communities and forums related to family nurse practitioners or mental health professionals can provide valuable support and insight. Most importantly, celebrate each achievement and be grateful for progress, big or small, as it paves the way toward fulfilling your purpose and dreams.
