Being a chubby creator online = free “medical advice” from random strangers 😂

And when I say “medical”, I mean Google-certified keyboard doctors.

Here’s the truth: I do a full annual health checkup (literally head to toe) and consult with my doctor about what to work on each year. I take care of my health way better than their useless comments ever could 🤷🏻‍♀️

One guy even dmed me: “You should eat more bibimbap. It’s a more balanced meal than the food you posted.”

Bruh, I’m Korean lols I’ve had more bibimbap in my life than you ever will.

Stop assuming someone’s health from their body size or food posts.

Every body deserves respect, health, and confidence 🫶

... Read moreThe experience of being a chubby creator online often comes with unsolicited and misguided health advice from strangers, sometimes called 'Google-certified keyboard doctors.' Many people make inaccurate assumptions about someone’s health based solely on body size or what they eat, without understanding the full picture. It’s important to recognize that health is personal, and a person’s body size does not automatically indicate their well-being or lifestyle choices. Annual health checkups and professional medical consultations are key to understanding individual health needs. Rather than relying on social media comments or passing judgments, engaging with healthcare professionals allows for accurate diagnoses and tailored health plans. This creator highlights that despite the unsolicited advice, they maintain their health responsibly through regular doctor visits and self-care habits. Food choices are also frequently misunderstood. For example, receiving comments suggesting eating more traditional dishes like bibimbap, without knowing the creator’s cultural background, shows the narrow lens through which people view nutrition. Being Korean, the creator affirms an extensive experience with such meals, underscoring how ignorance can fuel incorrect assumptions. Online body shaming and unsolicited advice can negatively impact mental well-being. It’s crucial to foster a digital culture that respects body diversity, promotes self-love, and combats stereotypes. Every person deserves confidence and respect regardless of size. Encouraging positive habits like not skipping meals, drinking plenty of water, and getting adequate sleep contributes to overall health for everyone. In summary, health is multifaceted and cannot be judged by external appearances or social media snapshots. This creator’s story reminds us to stop making assumptions, honor diverse bodies, and prioritize genuine self-care supported by medical advice. Together, we can create a more inclusive and understanding community that values health, respect, and kindness.
