Where to see street art in Brooklyn

I love hunting for street art and murals and one of the best places in New York to wander around for murals are these Brooklyn neighborhoods!

Bushwick

This is the king neighborhood of murals in the city! The Bushwick Collective is an open air art gallery that’s full of street art and murals from famous artists from all over the world! I can easily spend an afternoon here! I recommend walking up and down Troutman Street for the most concentrated areas!

Williamsburg

One of the best neighborhoods for shopping, dining, and drinking also has a great street art scene! I love walking up and down Bedford Avenue spotting street art - but you’ll find it all over the neighborhood.

Industry City in Sunset Park

I LOVE Industry City! There’s so many cool things happening here! This former waterfront industrial complex has been turned into an artist haven, shopping center, and great place to get food and drinks! And there are TONS of cool commissioned murals here decorated the space in the courtyards and around the complex!

... Read moreBrooklyn has long been a vibrant canvas for street artists, and its neighborhoods showcase some of the most impressive mural collections in New York City. Bushwick, often regarded as the heart of street art culture in Brooklyn, features the renowned Bushwick Collective—a dynamic outdoor gallery where walls are adorned by internationally acclaimed artists. Walking along Troutman Street reveals layers of colorful, thought-provoking murals that change regularly, making every visit unique. Williamsburg offers a different but equally captivating street art scene. Known for its trendy vibe and cultural mix, this neighborhood's Bedford Avenue is a treasure trove of murals and graffiti art, blending urban life with creative expression. Here, street art complements the area's reputation for diverse dining, shopping, and nightlife. Industry City in Sunset Park adds an industrial charm to the street art landscape. Once a waterfront industrial complex, it has been transformed into a hub for artists, food enthusiasts, and shoppers. Within its courtyards and facades, large commissioned murals brighten the space, creating an engaging atmosphere that merges creativity and community. For those interested in exploring more, Brooklyn’s street art is not confined to these neighborhoods alone. Artists can be found throughout the borough, often reflecting the local culture and current social themes. Whether you’re a casual wanderer or a devoted art enthusiast, Brooklyn offers a rich, evolving tapestry of urban art worth experiencing. Remember to bring a camera, wear comfortable shoes, and keep an eye out for new art that springs up frequently. Street art in Brooklyn is more than just visuals—it’s a living, breathing expression of the city’s soul.
