Must-Do Activities this Spring in NYC

When spring arrives in New York, the city feels like a different place. People are happier, outdoor activities start happening again, and everyone starts to get more excited about the months to come.

With so many things happening again, I thought I'd share some of my favorite activities to do in NYC during this time of the year:

1. See the Cherry Blossoms

- Central Park

- Little Island

- Roosevelt Island

- Flushing Meadows-Corona Park

- Botanical Gardens (New York, Brooklyn, or Queens)

2. Visit Macy’s Iconic Flower Show, beginning March 24 through April 7 at Macy’s flagship store at Herald Square.

3. Try new culinary dishes at the Night Markets around the city:

- Queens Night Market

- Bronx Night Market

4. Attend the Easter Parade - the parade begins at 10 am on Easter Sunday (March 31).

5. Catch a Baseball Game - Yankees & METS - the Opening Day for the season is set for March 28 for the Mets and April 5 for the Yankees.

6. Go Tulip picking - there are many different farms around the city that offer tulip picking, but keep an eye on the dates because it usually only happens during a few weeks in April.

7. Enjoy the beautiful weather and have a picnic in one of your favorite parks (there are so many in the city!)

8. Visit the Cloisters and enjoy their stunning Gardens.

9. Take a stroll around my favorite hidden gem in Queens: Forest Hills Gardens

10. Have the best time at Governors Ball - Tickets for the show are already on sale! This year it will happen from June 7 through June 9.

Are you excited for spring? Which activity is your favorite?

... Read moreSpring in New York City is an enchanting time, with vibrant flowers blooming and residents embracing outdoor life. One of the must-see attractions is the cherry blossom season, particularly beautiful in Central Park and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Additionally, the much-anticipated Macy's Flower Show showcases stunning floral displays from March 24 to April 7, making it a visual treat for visitors. Food lovers should not overlook the Night Markets in Queens and the Bronx, where diverse culinary dishes are available from local vendors, making for a delicious evening outing. As Easter rolls around on March 31, the Easter Parade is a treasured tradition, offering a chance to witness colorful outfits and festive spirit on the streets of NYC. Baseball season kicks off with the opening games for the Mets and Yankees—both teams engage their fans with exciting action suitable for all ages. And if you're seeking a unique experience, tulip picking at nearby farms adds a touch of nature's beauty to your spring routine, although it is time-sensitive. Finally, the Cloisters feature breathtaking gardens ripe for exploration, and hidden gems like Forest Hills Gardens in Queens offer tranquil walks away from the city bustle. With events like Governors Ball on the horizon, stretching from June 7 to June 9, spring in NYC is filled with moments that bring joy and excitement to any visitor's day.
