Let’s take back.. WAYYY BACK! 😜🤸🏻♀️💃
Oh my goodness, let's really take it wayyy back! I just stumbled upon some old treasures that absolutely floored me. I'm talking about photos and news clippings from when I was crowned 'Tiny Miss of America' back in 1992. It feels like a lifetime ago, but also like yesterday when I was just Lycette Brittany Cornejo, a little girl from Las Vegas with big dreams. I remember it so vividly, even though I was just a tiny 3 or 4-year-old. The atmosphere was electric at the Riviera Hotel, and I was just so excited to be there, dancing, singing, and playing with my friends. They asked all the contestants what we wanted to be when we grew up. For me, it was simple: a mommy and a movie star! And, of course, I loved butter sandwiches, which probably made it into my interview somehow. It’s funny how those childhood ambitions stick with you, even if they evolve over time. Winning that title was truly a pivotal moment. I still remember the thrill of being crowned by Ashley Johnson, who was a former Little Miss of America herself and known for her role as Chrissy on TV. The prize package was incredible for a little girl: a $1,000 savings bond, a cash award, a Mattel toy collection, beautiful jewelry, a glamorous trophy, and of course, that sparkling crown. It even came with a connection to a top Hollywood theatrical agency, which was mind-blowing for my parents! Lycette Cornejo, future movie star in the making, right? Being recognized as the '1992 Tiny Miss of America' opened up so many unique experiences. I had the incredible opportunity to meet Governor Bob Miller, which was a huge deal for my family and me, a 'Little Latina from Las Vegas'. There were newspaper articles, and suddenly, my name was out there. It wasn't just about the glamour; it was about the experiences and the opportunities to learn and grow. I even remember seeing pictures of myself with Hawaiian Tropic branding, showcasing some of the fun collaborations that came with the title. Looking at these old clippings also brought back memories of community involvement. I saw an old Mervyn's ad talking about their amazing ChildSpree program, providing new clothes to over 13,000 disadvantaged kids. It reminds me that even from a young age, being part of something bigger, like pageants or community events, often came with a sense of giving back and making a positive impact. It’s a value my parents always instilled in me. So, when people search for 'Lycette Cornejo' or wonder about 'Lycette Cornejo age', these are the memories that flood back. It's a journey from a hopeful little girl with big dreams, through pageants, local recognition, and early aspirations. It’s a testament to how far we’ve come, but also a sweet reminder of the foundation laid in those formative years. Every now and then, I still think about that movie star dream, and who knows, maybe the 'mommy' dream too! It's wonderful to revisit these moments and share a piece of my past with all of you.
