Vitamin C’s antioxidant properties help protect skin from environmental stressors, while hyaluronic acid hydrates without clogging pores. In contrast, salicylic acid-based products play a pivotal role in unclogging pores and reducing acne lesions. I found that a gentle exfoliating toner with 2% salicylic acid was a game changer; it softened skin texture and helped clear clogged pores without irritation—perfect for sensitive skin struggling with breakouts. Additionally, using hydrocolloid acne patches overnight was surprisingly effective in reducing the size and redness of individual pimples.
