4.8-Star Korean Spot you must try in NYC!!
This place is straight 🔥 in Seoul, and now it’s here in NYC! After my Korean friends told me I had to try Hojokban, I finally went—and wow, it lives up to the hype. Even Google agrees with its 4.8-star rating! Here’s what I had:
🌟 Hojok Galbi
Their signature dish! Everyone orders this, and for good reason. The beef short ribs are tender, easy to bite into (no annoying sinews!), and packed with flavor. Truly a must-try.

🌟 Truffle Potato Pancake
Golden, crispy, and absolutely addictive! I’m obsessed with shredded potato pancakes, and the hint of truffle takes it to the next level. If you’re only ordering one appetizer, make it this!

🌟 Yuzu Squid Salad
This one caught me off guard because not many tables ordered it—but it was a sleeper hit! Super refreshing with a balance of tangy yuzu, mild spice, and sweet apple slices. The squid’s texture was slightly sticky in the best way.

🌟 Perilla Oil Noodles
A classic dish done right! The perilla oil gives it a light, nutty aroma, and it’s perfect for cleansing your palate after the richer dishes. Simple but satisfying.
Rating: 🍚🍚🍚🍚
🌟 Chestnut Mont Blanc
The chestnut flavor is rich and creamy, and the crispy rice cake base adds an interesting texture. Personally, I thought the combo didn’t totally click, but digging into it was still fun. Another dessert might be a better pick.
Rating: 🍚🍚🍚
🌟 Frozen Makgeolli
OBSESSED. A lightly boozy frozen treat that’s not too strong but super refreshing. The roasted rice powder sprinkled on top adds a nice crunch. Such a good way to wrap up the meal!
