Packing your handmade orders isn't just a task, it's truly one of the most rewarding parts of my day! Every single package I prepare, whether it's for 'Ysta Bubbles' or any other unique creation, is filled with so much more than just the product itself. It's packed with gratitude, care, and a piece of my heart. As a small business owner, I often hear people say, 'Oh, it must be so fun to make things all day!' And while it absolutely is, running a business is also a lot harder than anybody will ever tell you. It's more painful, it's more expensive, and it's full of long days and dark nights. There are moments when you feel like you're losing your mind, questioning if this whole run-on-a-business thing is even worth it. Most people are never gonna understand the sheer dedication and sacrifice involved, and that's okay, because there are a few of us who do, and we keep going anyway. That's why when I sit down to pack your orders, it's a moment of pure joy and reflection. It’s a tangible reminder that all the hard work, the late nights perfecting a design, the early mornings sourcing materials, and the constant learning curve are all worth it because of your incredible support. Each 'THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!' I write on a note, or even just think in my head, comes from a very genuine place. When it comes to my process for packing handmade orders, I always aim for a few key things: Protection, Presentation, and a Personal Touch. First, protection is paramount. Handmade items, especially delicate ones, need to arrive safely. I use appropriate cushioning – whether it's eco-friendly crinkle paper, recycled bubble wrap (if used at all), or sturdy boxes tailored to the item's size. I imagine the journey the package will take and reinforce it accordingly. Next, presentation. Unboxing should be an experience! I love adding little touches like tissue paper, a branded sticker (like from Ysta Bubbles!), or a sprig of dried lavender. It’s about creating that 'wow' moment and showing the customer they’re receiving something special, made with love. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the personal touch. A handwritten thank you note, even a short one, goes a long way. It’s a direct connection from me, the maker, to you, the supporter. Your support truly fuels this small business journey. It allows me to continue doing what I love, creating unique items, and sharing them with the world.
