Traveling with a baby can feel overwhelming, but planning a toddler-friendly trip along the Great Ocean Road can actually be very rewarding. From my experience, starting early at Bells Beach helped calm our little one by giving him space to move after a long car ride. We loved visiting the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery, which offered unique treats like a 1-meter-long chocolate bar that delighted the whole family. A highlight was the Anglesea Golf Course where we spotted wild kangaroos, a fun and gentle activity for kids. We stayed overnight at Apollo Bay, which is perfect for families with simple accommodations and beautiful views. Don't miss the iconic 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge for awe-inspiring nature moments. For meals, Totti’s Lorne served the best pasta I've ever tasted! It’s a great spot to relax and recharge with a baby. We also indulged in Timboon fine ice cream, a perfect treat for both adults and kids. I found that bringing along essentials like GOH diapers made transitions smoother during the road trip. Planning frequent stops helped prevent fussiness and made the journey manageable. This itinerary is well-suited for families seeking relaxed adventures with babies in tow, offering a blend of nature, good food, and kid-friendly activities to create lasting memories.
