Let’s Talk About Love In The Clouds ☁️💙
My emotional reaction and feelings after finishing the show~
Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐:
⚠️Spoilers if you haven’t watch⚠️
Gosh, I love it so much! I finally understand why it’s rated so highly!! There was even a point during the show where I found myself wishing it would never end.
The plot, visual effects, costume designs, music, sets, main leads, secondary leads… everything is 10/10 🌟
First, let’s talk about the actors. WOW. Like WOW!!! They acted so, so, so well. I was genuinely blown away. Every single actor did an amazing job, and I felt every emotion they were going through. And what’s even crazier is that when you think about it, they had to act without all the visual effects. Every emotion, expression and movement had to be so accurate for the CGI to come together so seamlessly. Mad respect!
The visual effects were stunning. They really elevated the whole show, and I loved every environment they were in.
The costumes were so pretty too 😍 I WANT ONE HAHAHA. I genuinely can’t choose whose costume I like the most because I loved them all. They suited every character so well.
I also really like how well every character was written. No one was simply “good” or “bad”. Everyone had their own motivations, and once you found out why they did the things they did, it all made sense. I also loved how well the show balanced comedy, romance and heartbreak. One moment I was laughing, and the next moment my heart was getting ripped apart. The emotional rollercoaster was REAL 😵💫
I absolutely love the chemistry between Ming Yi and Ji Bozai. Going from using each other to slowly falling in love, it was done so naturally. You could actually see the little moments where they started falling for each other, and then the moment they realised it themselves. TOO CUTE 🥰 Nothing felt rushed, which made it even better.
(Side track a little… WHEN HOU MING HAO SMILES, I DIED 💘😍🥰 AVDKBWKSG)
I also love that after everything they’ve been through, they understand each other so well that it’s like they’re on the same wavelength. They don’t even need to say much because they already know what the other is thinking. I’M SO HAPPY THEY ENDED UP TOGETHER BECAUSE I would’ve been devastated if they didn’t.
Also, am I the only one who found Situ Ling cute? HAHAHA. But omg, the things he did kept breaking my heart 🥺 Please stop, my boy. I can’t bear to see you so hung up over Ming Yi. LIVE YOUR LIFE FOR YOURSELF PLEASE!!
I was so pissed at Yan Xiao until they finally revealed why he did everything he did. GOSH. STOP HURTING MY QUEEN TIAN JI AND YOURSELF 😭
I genuinely loved the relationship growth between the companion beasts, Twenty Seven and Bu Xiu. Watching them bicker was so funny. I wanna pet Twenty Seven, he looks so cute eating fish 🥹 And Bu Xiu being a little dense just makes everything even funnier HAHAHA
Speaking of dense… I LOVE YANG QIU 😂 He’s so funny because he’s just so straightforward and clueless. Kudos to his friends because they have so much patience for him HAHAHA
The plot twists were INSANE. I gasped so many times. Every action had a reason behind it, my heart broke SO MANY TIMES 😭 Then once everything started getting revealed, I was just sitting there like 🫢 It made everything hit even harder.
There was one part where I was SO emotionally frustrated with Ming Yi and Ji Bozai because THEY KEPT LYING TO EACH OTHER!! Like STOP 😭😭 Y’all aren’t just hurting each other, you’re hurting ME TOO
And honestly, the ending was so satisfying. After everything they went through, seeing Ming Yi and Ji Bozai finally get their happy ending made all the pain worth it 😭❤️
Post-drama depression is hitting a little too hard 😭
After watching the show, there’s still one question lingering in my mind…
Who is stronger? Ji Bozai or Ming Yi? 🤔
Watching Love In The Clouds was truly an unforgettable experience that immersed me deeply into a world where fantasy and romance elegantly intertwine. One aspect that really stood out to me was the show's seamless integration of CGI with real performances. The actors had to rely heavily on their expressions and body language to convey emotions convincingly, which I believe added a raw authenticity to their portrayals. It made me appreciate not only their talent but also the immense effort behind each scene. The relationship dynamics, especially between Ming Yi and Ji Bozai, felt refreshingly genuine. Their gradual transition from uneasy allies to soulmates was so well-paced that it never felt forced. Moments like these, scattered throughout the series, gave me a front-row seat to the tender buildup of affection, complete with subtle gestures and meaningful glances—a great example of "show, don't tell" storytelling. Also, the secondary characters and their development enriched the storyline more than I expected. The companion beasts, Twenty Seven and Bu Xiu, for instance, brought a delightful mix of humor and heart to the series. Their bickering and playful interactions offered lighthearted relief amid the intense plot twists and emotional scenes. I found myself looking forward to their scenes almost as much as for the lead's. As someone who enjoys costume design, I can’t help but praise the wardrobe choices. Each costume seemed tailored not just to the era but to the individual's personality and storyline, which added layers to the visual storytelling. I often paused to admire the intricate details, wishing I could own one of those beautiful outfits myself. What kept me hooked till the last episode were the complex characters, especially the antagonists whose motivations were gradually revealed. It transformed what initially seemed like straightforward villainy into compelling, emotional narratives about love, loss, and personal sacrifice. It reminded me how well-crafted writing can transform a story into an emotional rollercoaster. In summary, Love In The Clouds is more than just a visually spectacular drama—it’s a heartfelt tale of love, trust, and redemption that resonates long after the credits roll. If you’re a fan of romantic fantasies with strong character arcs and stunning production values, this show definitely deserves a spot on your watchlist.

I watched this show last year while it was airing 😭 pure torture having to wait till the next day for the next episode to be released!!! ngl this is my all time favourite cdrama and my thoughts and feelings on this are similar to yours hahaha, I'm so happy I'm not aloneee 🥺✨ someone gets the mingzai love!!! 🥰 (p.s. I think Ming Yi wins since she trained from young as a warrior while zaizai only got his powers around his teenage years and his fighting skills seem to be self taught for the most part 😂)
