沖縄美ら海水族館の最大の魅力は、そのスケールの大きさにあります。特に、黒潮の海と呼ばれる巨大水槽は海をそのまま切り取ったかのようで、目の前をジンベエザメやマンタが泳ぐ姿は本当に圧巻です。私も実際に訪れた際は、迫力ある生物たちとの距離感に驚き、とても感動しました。 ジンベエザメ「ジン タ」は全長約8.8メートルと世界最大級の飼育記録を持ち、その悠々とした泳ぎは他の水族館ではなかなか見られない貴重な光景です。サメと聞くと怖いイメージを持つ方も多いかもしれませんが、ジンベエザメはプランクトンを主食とし非常におとなしい性格です。私が子供と一緒に訪れた際も、その大きな口を開けて泳ぐ姿を安心して見ることができました。 美ら海水族館では他にも、色とりどりの熱帯魚や美しいサンゴ礁の展示、触れ合いコーナーなども充実しており、家族連れや友人同士、カップル旅行でも楽しめるスポットです。訪問前はチケットの事前予約が断然おすすめで、特に週末や連休期間は当日券が完売することも少なくありません。私も前もってオンラインで予約してスムーズに入場できました。 また、館内には沖縄の自然や海の生態系について学べる展示も多く、とても勉強になりました。沖縄旅行の計画中に少し時間を取ってこの施設を訪れることで、沖縄の海の魅力を肌で感じることができ、旅の思い出がより一層深まるはずです。次回の沖縄旅行では、ぜひ美ら海水族館を訪れてみてください！
