奈良公園エリアって「鹿がいる＝楽しい」だけじゃなく、家族連れだと“歩きやすさ”と“休憩のしやすさ”がかなり大事だなと実感しました。私はベビーカーで回ったのですが、結論から言うと奈良公園はベビーカーでも十分楽しめます。ただ、場所によって路面の雰囲気が変わるので、ポイントを押さえるとめちゃくちゃラクでした。 まずベビーカーで安心だったのは、奈良公園バスターミナル周辺〜東大寺方面の大きな通り。道幅が広めで、人の流れも読みやすく、はじめてでも迷いにくいです。紅葉の時期は特に人が増えるので、無理に近道の小道へ入らず、王道ルートでゆっくり進むのが安全。東大寺の周辺は「写真撮りたい！」が連発するので、立ち止まるときは端に寄せるだけでも気持ちに余裕が出ました。 鹿との距離感も、子連れだと最初に決めておくと安心です。鹿せんべいを持つと一気に寄ってくることがあるので、ベビーカーの近くでは出さない／あげる人を決める／食べ終わったら手を見せて何もないアピール、を意識しました。小さい子がびっくりしやすいので、最初は「見るだけ」でも十分楽しいです。 お土産は、奈良公園観光と一緒に寄りやすいのが「奈良みやげ百貨商店」。店内は奈良らしいアイテムがぎゅっと集まっていて、家族旅行だと“短時間で一気に選べる”のがありがたいポイントでした。鹿モチーフの雑貨はもちろん、ちょっと話題になる系のお菓子も置いてあって、ばらまき用と自宅用を分けて選びやすい印象。 食べ歩き・軽い手土産なら「音づくり手造りおかき」もチェックしてほしいです。醤油、赤しそ、黒ごまみたいに味がいろいろあって、家族で分けると好みが分かれて盛り上がりました。移動中に小腹が空いたときにも助かります。 最後に、子連れ奈良公園で地味に効くのが“温かいごはんの場所を決めておく”こと。歩き疲れたタイミングで雑炊や釜めしみたいなあったかメニュー（ときわ、ならや東大寺店など）を挟むと、午後の散策が一気に楽になります。家族みんなのペースを守りながら、奈良らしさも全部回収できるのが奈良公園の良さだなと思いました。
