Subtle Nail Designs for The Season 🦇

i feel like every year there are the same nails designs being used over and over again, and while they’re still cute, i thought i’d show some that i see less around this time of year

1.) Blood Splatter - this type of design is used every year, but this one is done in a more eye catching way than the usual blood drip french tips commonly seen

2.) Celestial - these nails go great year round and i think pop especially this time giving a cool moon witch vibe

3.) Red Ombré - this has definitely been done before but i love the way it almost looks like blood up close in a not-so obvious way, the ombré affect going towards the center really brings it together

4.) Celestial - again celestial nails always look so good, these give off a more Ouija board vibe than the previous shown

5.) Festive French - these look much more festive than the regular french tips and adds flare with the pop of orange

6.) Purple Ombré - these give a more delicate witch vibe than the red ombré nail look, almost like a cat eye affect

7.) Vampire - these definitely feel like they would be the nails of a high class vampire with the hands that could kill

8.) Chrome Snake Skin - these are probably my favorite out of all of these, the snake skin affect with the chrome is the cherry on top — totally eye-catching

(all nail designs/photos are not mine, just found them looking for inspo)

💅🏽 what are some of your favorite nail designs to see this time of year?

... Read moreHey nail lovers! I've been on a mission lately to find nail designs that truly stand out, especially for this time of year. While I adore the classic spooky looks, I wanted something a little more unique, yet still easy to achieve. That's why I've been absolutely captivated by simple blue nail art and the endless possibilities of planet-inspired and celestial designs. They’re such a refreshing change and surprisingly versatile! Embracing Simple Blue Nail Art When I first thought about “blue nails,” I pictured just a solid color, but trust me, there's so much more you can do, even with a minimalist approach. For a truly simple yet striking look, consider a deep, dark blue as your base – think navy or sapphire. This shade immediately gives off a mysterious, night-sky vibe, perfect for complementing your spooky season outfits. You could even try a subtle blue ombré, fading from a lighter sky blue at the cuticle to a deeper indigo at the tip, creating a gorgeous gradient without being overly complicated. Another easy win? A single accent nail! Paint three nails a classic nude or black, and then make one nail pop with a vibrant matte blue or a shimmering metallic blue. French tips can also get a blue upgrade; instead of white, use a crisp blue for a modern twist. The key to keeping it simple is often in the polish itself—look for polishes with a fantastic self-leveling formula for a smooth finish, or quick-dry options if you're always on the go like me! Dazzling Planet & Celestial Nail Art Now, if you're ready to venture into the cosmos, planet and celestial nails are where it's at! I'm talking about those enchanting designs with stars, moons, and tiny constellations that make you feel like a 'moon witch.' The original article showed some stunning examples, like dark blue almond-shaped nails with gold celestial designs and nude nails with black celestial motifs. To recreate these at home, you don’t need to be a professional. For stars, a dotting tool and a thin brush for lines are your best friends. You can use silver or gold polish for a sparkling effect against a dark blue, black, or even deep purple base. Imagine tiny gold celestial designs shimmering on a dark canvas – absolutely magical! For moons, a simple crescent shape on one or two nails can elevate your entire manicure. I’ve found that using nail art stickers or stamping plates can make intricate designs like constellations or detailed planet patterns incredibly easy and quick to apply. And for something a little different, why not experiment with 'galaxy nails'? By dabbing different shades of blue, purple, and black polish with a sponge, then adding a few white dots for stars, you can create a stunning cosmic effect that looks complex but is surprisingly achievable. You can even incorporate those unique 'black celestial designs' with eyes and suns for a more mystical, Ouija board-inspired look, as mentioned in the original post. Integrating these simple blue and celestial elements brings a fresh, ethereal touch to your seasonal style. Whether you go for a single blue accent, a full set of starry night nails, or a subtle ombré, you’ll be rocking a manicure that’s both chic and perfectly in tune with the season's mysterious allure. What are your favorite ways to incorporate blue or celestial elements into your nails?
