VIP Press Tour of Chanel Boutique in Paris
I attended a private media tour of the Chanel boutique in Paris on Place Vendôme. This flagship only sells Chanel Fine Jewelry and Time Pieces. I used to work in Dior fine jewellery in NYC and the Creative Director is Victoire Castellane and her role previously was the Creative Director at Chanel so this was quite an interesting experience for me!
Her designs are very whimsical and sometimes extravagant but tasteful and always keeping within the house codes. You usually have to request an appointment to even be able to step inside this Chanel flagship as it’s mostly built for the VIP customers.
The store was recently designed by famed luxury architect, Peter Marino. The flagship encompasses two floors with extremely high ceilings. The interiors are exquisite with artistic modern sculptures and sleek arm chairs, couches, and private rooms where customers can relax as they try on jewelry.
Coco Chanel loved astrology, numerology, and the star motif. You see a running theme of this throughout most of the jewelry pieces. She loved the number 5 as it was her personal numerological number as well as the lion figure, as Leo was her zodiac sign.
