💖🤞🏽 (5) Ways You’ll Know He’s The One
It's easy to get caught up in sweet words and grand promises, especially when you're hoping to find 'the one.' But as I've learned on my own journey, a man's true character, and whether he's truly a godly partner, is revealed not by what he says, but by his actions. The Bible consistently reminds us that faith without works is dead, and this principle holds so true in relationships. So, what does a man showing affection through actions, not words, look like in a biblical sense? First, consider a man who leads his partner toward God (Matthew 6:33). This isn't just about him saying he's spiritual. It's about his observable actions: Does he initiate prayer with you? Does he encourage you to grow in your faith, perhaps by suggesting Bible studies or listening to sermons together? Does he prioritize spiritual growth in his own life, setting an example? These are concrete actions that demonstrate his commitment to a Christ-centered relationship, far more powerful than just stating he goes to church. Next, pay attention to the man whose actions match his words (1 John 3:18). This is about integrity. If he says he'll call, does he call? If he promises to help you with something, does he follow through? True affection and reliability are built on consistency. A man who truly cares shows up, keeps his word, and acts in a way that aligns with his stated values, building a foundation of trust that words alone can never establish. Another crucial sign is a man who protects his partner's peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). This isn't about avoiding all conflict, but rather how he handles it and how he contributes to your overall well-being. Does he actively seek to resolve disagreements calmly? Does he avoid unnecessary drama or situations that would cause you anxiety? His actions demonstrate a desire to create a safe, harmonious environment for you, prioritizing your emotional and mental peace over ego or conflict. Then, observe if he is choosing his partner with intention and accountability (Ephesians 5:25). This means his actions are deliberate and he takes responsibility. Does he consistently pursue you? Does he communicate his intentions clearly, not leaving you wondering where you stand? When mistakes happen, does he own up to them and actively work to make things right? These actions show a deep-seated commitment and respect, indicating he views the relationship with seriousness and purpose. Finally, a man whose purpose multiplies with him (Ecclesiastes 4:9) shows his affection through shared growth and partnership. Does he actively support your dreams and aspirations? Does he celebrate your successes as his own? Does he collaborate with you on shared goals, making you feel like a valued teammate? His actions demonstrate that he sees you not just as a companion, but as a vital part of a stronger, more fruitful future together. This isn't just about individual achievement, but about how his actions foster a sense of mutual empowerment and shared destiny.
