MEAL OTD
I know that we may struggle with eating right , as well as finding the rights things to eat.
There used to be times when I didn’t know how to cook at all but since college, I made sure to gain more knowledge in cooking from my mother and it brought me a long way to say the least.
Never be afraid to try something you don’t normally eat. There’s lots of undiscovered nutrition in food you’ll never thought you’ll enjoy, but somehow enjoy now!
I find myself thinking of meals to make and I like to actually create the vision. It’s ok if you don’t know how cook, it’s just as easy as learning a new job! Dedication and motivation is all it takes and you’ll be just fine.

It’s so true what I said in my post – learning to cook healthy meals can feel like a huge mountain to climb, especially when you're just starting out! I remember those days of wondering what to even put on my plate, let alone how to prepare it. But trust me, with a little dedication, it’s incredibly rewarding. Since college, my mom taught me some fundamental cooking skills, and now I genuinely enjoy the process of creating wholesome, delicious food. One of the biggest game-changers for me was realizing that healthy eating doesn't have to be bland or complicated. It's about finding ingredients you love and learning simple ways to combine them. For instance, I used to think tofu was boring, but then I experimented with Sesame Teriyaki Tofu, serving it with fluffy Coconut Jasmine Rice. It’s surprisingly easy and packed with flavor! Marinating the tofu for even just 30 minutes makes all the difference, then a quick pan-fry or bake until it's golden. The coconut rice adds a subtle sweetness that complements the savory teriyaki perfectly, making it a staple healthy food recipe in my rotation. Another go-to for me is Baked Salmon. It’s one of the simplest and most nutritious proteins you can make. Just a little olive oil, lemon, salt, and pepper, then pop it in the oven. While that's baking, I'll often roast some Brussel Sprouts alongside it. A drizzle of balsamic glaze or a sprinkle of garlic powder can transform them into something truly irresistible, even for sprout skeptics! These kinds of simple, balanced meals make healthy eating feel less like a chore and more like a treat, proving that healthy food recipes can be both easy and satisfying. Don't be afraid to try new things! Exploring different vegetables, grains, and protein sources can open up a whole new world of flavors. I've found that having a few versatile, healthy ingredients on hand is key to quick meal planning. Think about stocking up on lean proteins like chicken breast, eggs, or lentils, a variety of colorful vegetables such as bell peppers, spinach, and sweet potatoes, and whole grains like quinoa or brown rice. Even something as simple as adding a handful of spinach to your morning eggs or swapping white rice for brown can make a big difference in your daily nutrition. This approach to building a plate ensures you're getting a good mix of nutrients without overthinking every single ingredient. For those moments when you’re short on time, remember that meal prepping can be your best friend. Dedicate an hour or two on a Sunday to chop veggies, cook a batch of grains, or even prepare a few servings of your favorite protein like that Baked Salmon. This way, you’re always just a few minutes away from a nutritious meal, reducing the temptation for takeout. Start small, perhaps just preparing lunches for the week, and gradually build up your meal prep routine. It’s all about making small, sustainable changes that add up to a healthier, happier you. You've got this – your body will thank you for every delicious, healthy bite!
