- I usually stick with my original Buffalo Chicken but I’m down to try a few different ones that I have listed with pictures.
📒Notes: If you do not like anything spicy 🥵❌.
I would refrain from trying to buffalo or getting hot sauce as a dressing ❗️❗️. Whenever it comes time for your dressing they always ask you would you like it mixed or on the side. If you want to eat it soon, I would suggest getting it mixed in. Before they mix the dressing in for you they always ask you would you like a heavy or light amount of dressing that all depends on you . If you were planning to eat it later, then I would suggest you get the dressing on the side they put it in little containers on top of your salad. You can also get a slice of bread for free you just have to ask them .😌😉
⭐️Overall rating: 10/10 ☺️

Okay, so you know I'm a creature of habit with my Buffalo Chicken salad at Sweetgreen, but I totally get the appeal of mixing things up! Sweetgreen is legendary for its customizable options, and honestly, that's where the magic truly happens. Beyond their signature bowls, building your own is super fun. You start with a base – maybe some classic chopped romaine or nutrient-rich shredded kale, then you pick your proteins. For those of you who want to explore beyond chicken, I've seen some amazing options. Think about adding a hard-boiled egg for extra protein, or maybe swapping out pickled onions if they're not your jam, just like I do with my custom Buffalo Chicken! Now, for my plant-forward friends out there, Sweetgreen has some fantastic options that go beyond just a simple green salad. If you're wondering what to try, definitely look at bowls packed with hearty grains and veggies. The Harvest Bowl, for example, is a total winner with its wild rice, roasted sweet potatoes, and roasted almonds – it’s super satisfying and naturally plant-forward (though it does come with chicken, which you can easily remove or swap for chickpeas!). The Kale Caesar, even with chicken, has that amazing shredded kale base and can be easily adapted. Building your own plant-forward masterpiece could involve starting with a base of baby spinach and herbed quinoa, then loading up on spicy broccoli, tomatoes, and perhaps some roasted sweet potatoes. Don't forget their incredible range of dressings to tie it all together! And speaking of protein, if you're looking for something that really fuels you up, Sweetgreen's protein plates are a game-changer. I’ve been eyeing a few myself, especially the Hot Honey Chicken protein plate. It sounds absolutely delicious with its herbed quinoa, crispy onions, and that hot honey mustard sauce. It's marked 'HIGH PROTEIN' for a reason! The Chicken Pesto Parm is another one that caught my eye – baby spinach, herbed quinoa, and roasted chicken – yum! These plates are perfect if you want a more structured meal that’s still fresh and flavorful. They often come with ingredients like roasted sweet potatoes or wild rice which make them incredibly filling and well-balanced. It’s a great way to hit your protein goals without compromising on taste. Even their Kale Caesar and Harvest Bowl are often categorized as 'HIGH PROTEIN' which is awesome. One thing I love is how much control you have. Remember my tip about getting your dressing on the side if you're saving it for later? That applies to custom bowls too! And don't shy away from asking for a slice of bread; it's a nice little bonus. Whether you're trying the new Steakhouse Chopped with its caramelized garlic steak or sticking with a classic, Sweetgreen makes it easy to find something delicious. I’m always discovering new combinations and ingredients, and that's really what makes it such a great spot for a healthy, satisfying meal. Next time you're there, maybe try adding some blue cheese to your custom creation, or crispy onions for that extra crunch!
