Streamline Range Review
Today we take a look into one of MVPs newest & most unique putters, the Range! I’m loving this disc as a slow, controlled option off the tee, as well as for upshots & looong putts. Check out this video to see how this disc can help improve your short game too!
I've been on the hunt for that perfect disc that truly elevates my short game, and honestly, the Streamline Eclipse Range has completely blown me away! When I first heard about its 'puddle top design,' I was intrigued. Holding it, you immediately notice that unique feel – it’s almost like a subtle 'thumb track' is built right into the rim, giving you an unbelievably secure grip. This isn't just about comfort; it translates directly into confidence on the course, especially when you need a precise release for those tricky upshots. What really sets the Streamline Eclipse Range apart is its flight. The OCR notes about 'low glide' and 'accurate flight' couldn't be more spot on. I’ve found that this disc truly excels at providing an 'accurate flight that won't blow past' the target. For anyone who’s struggled with overshooting the basket or having their disc float too far, this disc is a revelation. It has a remarkable ability to maintain its line and then 'get to the ground' exactly where you expect it. This means less worry about 'distance control' and more focus on hitting your line. They compare it to discs like a 'Watt or Proxy,' which are known for their straight flight, but the Range takes it a step further with its pronounced 'no glide.' This makes it incredibly predictable, even in light winds. And for those of us who tend to put a bit of power behind our approach shots, the fact that it 'can take torque without burning over' is a massive advantage. I can really lean into my throws without fear of it flipping uncontrollably. It just holds its line and then predictably falls. I've primarily been using mine for those essential 100-150 foot approach shots where precision is key. It’s fantastic for tight gaps in wooded courses where you need a straight shot that simply doesn’t want to sail. It's also become my go-to for longer, controlled putts, especially jump putts, where you want a disc that flies straight and then drops, rather than floating past the chains. The discussion about what 'slot it will fill in your bag' is easy: it’s the reliable, point-and-shoot putter/midrange for ultimate control. Getting my hands on one of these, especially as part of the '2024 Space Race Pack,' has been an exciting experience. This disc isn't just another putter; it's a meticulously designed tool for improving your consistency. If you're looking to tighten up your approaches, gain more confidence in your putts, and know exactly where your disc is going to land, I 'urge you to try one for yourself.' This one has definitely earned a permanent spot in my bag!
