Even though Dorian had a few pee accidents during the night, the fact that he had no other types of accidents showed progress in his training. One helpful tip I found was to set an alarm for a bathroom break during the night to preempt accidents and to help the puppy establish a routine. It's important to stay calm and avoid scolding, as accidents happen and can be part of the learning process for young dogs. Additionally, making sure the puppy has limited water intake a couple of hours before bedtime can reduce the chances of nighttime accidents. The key is to balance keeping your puppy hydrated while minimizing disruptions during the night. Finally, celebrate small wins and stay consistent with training. Over time, your puppy will learn where and when to go, making those frustrating 3am moments less frequent and stressful. Remember, patience and understanding make the journey smoother for both you and your furry friend.
