My Soft 75 as a college student!
I’ve seen many people start 75 hard this year, but as a college student with a busy schedule I thought I’d put a spin on it and do my version of 75 soft.
1) breakfast- I struggle with eating breakfast before classes and want to strive to have e healthy breakfast more often (breakfast is the most important meal of the day😅)
2) Healthy Eating- while I’m not on a specific diet, I’m eating healthier meals and cutting out things like fried foods, sodas, and limiting sweets
3) drinking half a gallon of water a day (filling my owala bottle twice)
4) trying to incorporate a workout at least 3 times a week
5) Reading a chapter of a book each night! (I just started wildfire by Hannah grace and would love more suggestions :)
6: Skincare- I want to focus on self care this year and ensure that I have downtime to relax and pamper☺️
Hey fellow students! You've probably heard about the '75 Hard' challenge, right? While it sounds incredibly transformative, as someone juggling classes, assignments, and a social life, I quickly realized that strict, no-compromise approach just isn't realistic for college. That's why diving into my '75 Soft' journey was a game-changer – it's about progress, not perfection, and truly designed for our busy lives. So, what does a '75 Soft' challenge look like when you're a college student? It's about building sustainable habits that support your well-being without adding overwhelming pressure. Here’s a breakdown of how I made it work, and how you can too: Mindful Eating, Student Style: Instead of a rigid diet, focus on making healthier choices most of the time. This means cutting down on those late-night fried food runs and sugary sodas. Try to incorporate more fruits and veggies into your dining hall meals, keep healthy snacks like nuts or yogurt in your dorm, and maybe even tackle some simple meal prep on weekends. Having a healthy breakfast is a non-negotiable for me – it truly sets the tone for a productive day! Hydration Habits: Carrying a reusable water bottle, like an Owala, is essential. Aim for half a gallon a day. Set reminders on your phone if you need to! Staying hydrated boosts energy and focus, which is crucial for those long study sessions. Movement That Fits Your Schedule: While the original 75 Hard demands two 45-minute workouts daily, that’s tough for students. My '75 Soft' incorporates at least three workouts a week. This could be anything from a brisk walk to class, a quick bodyweight routine in your dorm, hitting the campus gym for a 30-minute session, or joining a fun group fitness class. The goal is to move your body consistently. Nourishing Your Mind & Soul: This is where self-care truly shines. Reading: Beyond textbooks, dedicate time each night to a chapter of a book you enjoy. It’s a fantastic way to unwind and give your brain a break. Whether it's fiction, personal development, or an audiobook during your commute, make it a positive habit. Skincare & Downtime: Don't underestimate the power of a simple skincare routine. It’s not just about looking good; it's a moment of pampering and relaxation. Build in dedicated 'downtime' to de-stress, whether that's listening to music, meditating, or just unplugging. Journaling: This was a huge addition to my routine (and something I track on my personal tracker!). Taking a few minutes each day to write down thoughts, feelings, or gratitude can significantly reduce stress and improve self-awareness. It’s a powerful tool for reflection, especially during busy academic periods. Prioritizing Sleep: Often overlooked, quality sleep is vital for college students. Aim for consistent sleep and wake times, even on weekends. Create a relaxing bedtime routine – maybe that chapter of a book, a warm shower, or some light stretching – to help you wind down. Good sleep directly impacts your academic performance, mood, and overall health. Making Your 'Soft 75' Sustainable: The beauty of '75 Soft' is its flexibility. If you miss a day, don't throw in the towel! Just pick up where you left off. Find an accountability partner, perhaps a friend or roommate, to share your progress. Use a simple tracker to visualize your journey and celebrate those small victories. Remember, this challenge is about building lasting habits and fostering a healthier, happier you throughout your college years and beyond. It’s about creating a lifestyle that supports your goals, not hindering them.

Love your sharing 💛 Welcome:)
