Buldak Birria Ramen
Honestly, after seeing so many birria ramen videos, I was convinced I had to try making this. Some people take their leftover birria even frozen birria and mix it with ramen noodles.
Of course, I would be the one to use Buldak Carbonara ramen, and I think it was so GOOD!
🤯 It's like this perfect Mexican Korean fusion.
And you can go all out and add toppings like eggs, radishes, or different kinds of cheeses.
On the other hand, my mouth was burning like crazy. I think I used a little too much of the chipotle peppers 🥵
Ingredients:
- 2-3 lb chuck roast
- 1 tbsp butter (or oil, for searing)
- A blend of 1 tsp each: salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, and 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 red onion
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chiles
- 1 can (7 oz) chipotles in adobo sauce (I use the whole can) ⚠️
- 2 cups (16 oz) beef broth
For the Ramen Bowl:
- 1 packet Samyang Buldak Carbonara
Ramen (the pink one)
- 1/2 cup shredded beef
- 1/4 cup shredded cheese (I used mozzarella)
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro
- Consommé (the blended liquid from the slow cooker)
Directions:
1. Pat chuck roast dry. Heat butter or oil in a hot pan. Sear all sides until browned.
2. Add seared beef.
Sprinkle seasoning on top. Add red onion, green chiles, chipotles in adobo, and beef broth. Cook on LOW 8 hrs or HIGH 4–5 hrs until tender
3. Shred beef with two forks.
Pour all juices, onions, and peppers into a blender. Blend until smooth, that’s your consommé.
Build the Ramen:
1. Bring 2 cups consommé to a boil.
Add Buldak ramen noodles. Cook 3–4 mins.
2. Stir in Buldak Carbonara sauce + cheese packets. (Optional)
3. Add shredded beef to a bowl.
4. Top with cilantro + shredded cheese.
Pour noodles and consommé over everything.
Mix it up. Eat hot! 🔥

Okay, so you've seen the videos, you've heard the hype, and now you're ready to dive into the world of Buldak Birria Ramen. Trust me, it's an ULTIMATE RAMEN HACK! that will change your instant noodle game forever. When I first heard about this Mexican-Korean fusion, I was skeptical, but the moment I took that first spicy, savory, and incredibly rich bite, I was hooked. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience. One thing I've learned is that the key to an authentic-tasting birria ramen is definitely the consommé. That deep, flavorful broth, packed with tender shredded beef and infused with spices and chiles, is what truly elevates this dish. Don’t rush the slow-cooking process for your chuck roast – those hours on low heat are essential for developing that rich, fall-apart texture and intense flavor. And when it comes to blending the consommé, make sure it’s silky smooth. That creamy texture is part of what makes it so irresistible when it coats your Buldak noodles. Speaking of Buldak, using the Carbonara flavor (the pink packet!) is a stroke of genius for this fusion. The creamy, slightly sweet notes of the carbonara sauce perfectly balance the robust, sometimes fiery, flavors of the birria. However, a word of caution from personal experience: those chipotles in adobo can pack a serious punch! While I love a good kick, if you’re sensitive to heat, I highly recommend starting with half a can and tasting before adding more. You can always dial up the spice with a dash of extra hot sauce at the end, but it’s much harder to cool it down once it’s in. This way, you can truly enjoy the complex flavors without your mouth burning like crazy! This isn't just about throwing things together; it’s about creating harmony between two distinct culinary traditions. The savory depth of birria meets the chewy, spicy satisfaction of Korean ramen. To make it even more your own, consider experimenting with toppings. While shredded cheese and fresh cilantro are classics, don't stop there. A perfectly soft-boiled egg, thinly sliced radishes for a refreshing crunch, or even a sprinkle of chopped white onion can add fantastic layers of texture and flavor. Some people even like a squeeze of lime to brighten up the rich broth. For those who want to explore beyond the Carbonara, imagine the possibilities! A regular spicy Buldak ramen could give it an even more intense heat profile, or perhaps a cheese Buldak for an extra gooey texture. The beauty of this ULTIMATE RAMEN HACK! is its versatility. You can really make it your own, adjusting ingredients to your preferred spice level and flavor profile. It's truly a testament to how incredible Mexican and Korean flavors can be when brought together. So go ahead, give this birria flavored Buldak ramen a try. You'll be amazed at the depth of flavor and the satisfying warmth it brings. It’s more than just a meal; it’s a delicious cultural crossover that’s surprisingly easy to achieve at home.
