Is that... her ashes?

We stumbled on this glass bottle in the sand today, and inside, a torn notebook page. It read: “This is my mom. Toss her back, she’s globetrotting. Thanks, Sharon. Wollongong, Australia.”

Imagine finding that! Some kid’s out here sending their mom on a worldwide ocean adventure. The bottle had sand spilling out, like she’d been surfing the waves for ages. Now I’m just picturing Sharon’s mom bobbing from beach to beach, each new finder going, “Wait, we’re supposed to throw her back?”
