He’s working on himself (he is not)

When you have a dog with personality, you quickly learn that their red flags often become part of their charm—even if they are a handful at times. One time, my dog managed to break out through a slightly open window, and although it was cause for worry, it was also a reminder of how resourceful and determined dogs can be. Another red flag that many dog owners notice is a lack of personal space. Dogs who invade your personal bubble constantly can be lovable yet overwhelming at times, as they often believe they’re the “toughest” in the house despite their goofy antics. What helps is recognizing these behaviors not just as problematic but as expressions of your dog’s unique personality. Patience and consistent training, paired with humor, can turn these red flags into funny stories you share with friends. Remember, sometimes our pets think they’re working on themselves, but really, they’re just being their goofy, lovable selves.
