It Was Definitely A Favorite!
My dogs favorite treat and thing in the world was a Maro Snack by Milkbone🦴. He would eat it no matter what. Sometimes, he was not in the mood to eat his food, but he would always come through for his maro snacks (and table food ofc lol). Even when he was sick, he would still find the energy to get up and run to the box if he heard it open!
However, this last time was different, and I knew it was going to be different because when he got sick this time, not only did he not want to eat his food, he didn't want to eat his treat. He would look at them as if they were non-existent, so I knew whatever was making him sick must have been serious.
Unfortunately, my theory was correct. There were a multitude of things that were going on with him that could be easily fixed with treatment. The only thing is, he wouldn't have been able to withstand treatment due to hus failing kidneys. We ended up putting him down on Aug.8.2024 🪽
