HELP! Career Paths And How To Decide 😩🗣️

Hey everyone,

I’m at a crossroads again, I’ve been here before, staring at the myriad of paths in the world of psychology, each one branching out with its own set of promises and uncertainties.

I know I want to study psychology. But now, the question looms: which thread do I follow? Criminal psychology, guidance counseling, teaching high school students, or perhaps art therapy? The science of it all is fascinating, but where do I focus?

It’s a spiral, one that’s all too familiar. The options are vast, the classes numerous, and honestly, it’s overwhelming. I remember feeling this way when I first started college, and it didn’t help that I ended up taking courses I didn’t need. It’s frustrating, to say the least.

And then there’s the financial side of things – the looming shadow of debt and the daunting task of securing loans. It’s a lot to consider, especially when I’m trying to ensure that my career path and goals are rock solid.

..But here’s the thing – the support from this community has been a game-changer. You’ve given me more guidance and motivation than I’ve ever received, even more than my own family. It’s incredible how strangers on the internet can provide such clarity and perspective. 🩷

So, I’m taking a deep breath and preparing to step onto the path. I’m reminding myself that there’s time to figure this out, to make sure I’m heading in the right direction. It’s not about rushing; it’s about moving forward with purpose and confidence.
