Tuesday Tidbits

Lately, EVERYTHING has been negative. Trying to remain positive through it all is almost more than i can take. I’m just a mom who’s trying. I give myself flowers but i have no green thumb they always seem to die somehow and i wonder if i gave them too much sun or overwatered or maybe the soil just wasn’t right. Only hearing about the things i ought to be doing or need to do, never a reminder of what i’ve already made it through things i have already conquered. One honorable mention of resilience and i don’t know how to react. Thank you forms a question mark that hangs gloomily over my head, Talks about God like God don’t already know what’s going on like God hasn’t seen this and so much more like i don’t notice his hand in everything and his protection even in the little things like the way my daughter has no fear and all the ways she keeps me going. Everything is negative and staying positive is almost more than i can bare. I’m just a mom who’s trying to stay positive stay present and stay alive.

The struggle to maintain a positive mindset when surrounded by discouragement is a common experience shared by many. Cultivating resilience is key, and it often involves recognizing and celebrating the small victories—even when things seem bleak. Metaphors like giving oneself flowers, despite lacking a green thumb, illustrate the effort to nurture positivity and self-care amidst difficult circumstances. Overcoming feelings of inadequacy or self-doubt can be supported by focusing on what has already been achieved rather than solely on what remains to be done. This shift in perspective helps counterbalance the relentless messages of criticism or negativity from external sources. Faith can also serve as a profound source of comfort and strength. Acknowledging things beyond one’s control, such as divine protection and guidance, often provides reassurance. The presence of fearless family members, like a daughter who inspires courage and joy, highlights the healing power of love and connection. Incorporating daily affirmations such as “Hey Beautiful! YES YOU” can reinforce self-worth and provide motivational boosts necessary for facing each day with hope and determination. It's important for parents and caregivers to seek supportive communities, engage in mindfulness practices, and prioritize mental health to foster persistence, positivity, and presence amidst challenges. Ultimately, the journey of staying positive and present, especially in the face of negativity, is an ongoing process that requires patience, self-compassion, and acknowledgment of one’s own resilience and faith.
